Game of Thrones: Featurette

9 days to go ….

So imagine it’s the end of the weekend, you’ve seen the Hunger Games, you’ve watched the first new episode of Mad Men and you need one more fix before you go to bed.

What do you do?

Why watch this 22-minute featurette from HBO about Game of Thrones, of course!

Not only will get a nice summary of events from season 1 (as if you could forget!) as well as some great talking head moments from the show runners and actors who are dressed in modern garb. Special kudos to Peter Dinklage for his incredibly snazzy vest.

Of course this will only whet your appetite for April 1, but isn’t that the point?

THE NORTH REMEMBERS!

Three is possibly the best book so far. I’d rush to book 4, but it might be a bit of cognitive dissonance reading Feast for Crows while watching Season 2. Luckily you won’t have a five year wait between books 4 and 5! Has someone started a countdown til Winds of Winter…?

      • maudlin says:

I read that book four has all these different characters and that my favorites (Jon, Dany, and someone else? I can’t remember) were all moved to aDwD. I can’t say I’m too stoked about a book without them! But we’ll see.
I think general consensus is that it is going to take years, and the entire interwebs seems to be crossing their fingers for Martin not to die in the writing process…

      • ilmozart says:

That is pretty much the case; Martin left all the fan favorites for the next book. But there is an amazing arc for Arya. I think I enjoyed FfC more than most; one of the things I love about the series is the ever-increasing world that Martin creates (Meereen in book 5 notwithstanding).
At least now if we are waiting years for the next volume, we have the show to sate us, bless you HBO. (And I second your prayer about Martin)
