Not sure about the movie, but love the art deco

I love Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge as much as the next person, but not sure that the same aesthetic should be applied to The Great Gatsby.

Leonardo DiCaprio is good casting, as is Carey Mulligan. But there’s something about this version that just seems too…well, too Baz Luhrmann for me. And inappropriately so.

Of course, I could be wrong.

I’m also terribly concerned about the movie being in 3D. When will this madness end??
