Garfunkel and Oates – 29/31 (or the story of my life)*

Ah, Garfunkel and Oates, speakers of truth and wisdom. This song is about 1 woman, at age 29 and then 2 years later at age 31, and the dialog that ensues between them.

It’s amazing what a difference a couple of years can make.

I especially agree with Rikki’s assessment of the phrase “When god closes a door, he opens a window.” Not the same thing. Not the same thing at all.

Plus I’m sure I’d totally want to punch 29 year old me right in the face, though I was never all that cheery at any age.
