According to Variety, James Spader is leaving The Office. Apparently this was at Spader’s request. Can’t say I’m surprised. They didn’t seem to know what to do with him for the most part. Yes, he was sufficiently creepy when needed but overall he was just underused. Adios Robert California!

Seriously, I have no clue. He was good in theory but in practice… In general this should really be the last season of the show. Gervais did 2 seasons and a special. That should have been a tip off that this was not meant to go on this long.
